I hope everyone had a very safe and happy New Year! Mine was fantastic. The hubs and I went to dinner at Pearlz Oyster Bar and then scooted down the street to ring in the new year at XS Nightlife.
Dinner was good for the most part. The service was a little slow, but it was New Year’s eve and they were very busy. We had some crab bruschetta to kick off our meal, Andy had a crab cake and a caesar salad, and I had a house salad, a cup of clam chowder, and 6 steamed oysters. I love oysters and these were the perfect meal..not to heavy, not to light. We ended our meal with him having a shot of Jager and me, I had an oyster shooter. That will clear your sinuses up in a heartbeat.
We made our way down to XS and even though we had already purchased tickets, we still had to wait in line for about 45 minutes…which is a decent bit when it’s so cold out. We got in and made our way around to check out the place. This being our first time at XS..we didn’t really know what to expect. The place is huge though and offers a great entertainment setup. We had a great time, but I do have one complaint. The bar took forever. They were way understaffed at all of the bars and getting a drink was almost impossible. Next time they need to beef up the bar staff.
We spent new year’s day lounging around the house until about 3pm when we got up to get ready to go to Beef’s to watch the Steelers/Browns game. Thankfully the Steelers pulled that one out and we are moving on to the playoffs next week. We had a nice relaxing end to our holiday season.
I’m going to cut this off, but I promise to blog soon about our unbelievable bowl game and my New Year’s resolutions. Start thinking about your’s because I’d love to hear them! Talk to you soon!
